aaron nicholasWelcome to another episode of The Dentalpreneur Podcast. Joining us today is Dr. Aaron Nicholas.

As one of the most popular guests on the Dentalpreneur, I am hosting Dr. Nicholas for the third time. Each time he is interviewed he brings something unique and actionable to the table. Today I share a conversation we recently had at the Elite Practice Mastermind Meeting, the Dental Success Institute held in New Orleans on January 22nd and 23rd.

Aaron and I discuss how his practice has achieved 36% growth in the year 2015 and what actions he took to make that happen. Aaron shares what worked for him in not just business, but also his personal life. He also explains what didn’t work, and where he would like to see himself progress and improve in the coming year. Aaron gets in depth on how the incentives for staff became so successful it began to hinder growth and how he overcame the challenge of re-structuring the program with personnel. We also examine how same day treatment is what made the biggest difference in Aaron’s practice growth.

All of that and more on today’s episode of The Dentalpreneur.

In this episode you’ll hear:

  • The advantages of belonging to a mastermind group and having a business coach
  • How accelerated hygiene can increase business and level of patient care
  • What considerations you should take when formulating a staff incentive program
  • How to make same day treatment a success
  • Why your business culture is key to practice efficiency

Lessons from 350 Years of Dental Experience

I just got back from New Orleans where I hosted an event for some of the members of my Elite Practice Mastermind group. It was an incredible four days!

I’ve got to say (although I’m probably biased) that the attendees are some of the smartest, most driven dentists that I’ve ever met. There was over 350 years of dental experience in the room this past weekend and together we tackled some of our biggest challenges and created the blueprints for unprecedented growth in 2016.

Incredible things happen when you assemble an ambitious group of like-minded action-takers.

In this quick video, I cover what we here at the Dental Success Institute call the “30-30-30-10 Rule” for calculating overhead, cash flow and profitability.

This video offers any practice owner the most important Key Performance Indicators to track as well as how to calculate the most important metric for any business, Profit.

Dan MarutWelcome to another episode of The Dentalpreneur Podcast. Joining us today is Dr. Dan Marut.

Dr. Marut is the president and founder of Quality Dental, a nationwide in-office savings plan for patients started in 2009. Dr. Marut is from New Jersey and now lives in Bend, OR. He was an undergrad at Penn State University and received his D.M.D. from Temple University. In 2002 he bought a practice in Ashland, OR. Today Dr. Marut works full time for his company Quality Dental Plans and speaks across the nation on the topic in office dental savings plans at dental industry events.

Upon beginning his practice Dr. Marut realized there was a need to get beyond cost of treatment to preserve the patient/dentist relationship and to provide patients with the best care through treatment plans that patients could afford. By understanding that “savings makes sense and fees do not” to the average patient, Dr. Marut was able to design and develop a dental savings plan that could be customized for any practice. Dan and I discuss the variety of services QDP has created for use in any dental practice and as an option for even eliminating third party insurance agreements and still maintaining a 98% patient retention rate.

All of that and more on today’s episode of The Dentalpreneur.

In this episode you’ll hear:

  • How you can easily and quickly create a dental savings plan for your practice using any or all components that QDP has to offer
  • Why not all dental savings or discount plans are equal due to state regulations
  • How to keep the uninsured patient from shopping elsewhere using your treatment plan
  • Understand the “psychology of the consumer”
  • How to create a dental savings plan using your practice brand

Special thanks to Dr. Dan Marut for taking time out of his busy day to speak with me on today’s show. Thanks to you for joining us on another episode of the Dentalpreneur podcast.
