About Umang
Dr. Umang Patel graduated from Northwestern Dental School in 2000, establishing a solid foundation for his career in dentistry. Like many new graduates, his initial ambition was to work as an associate, eventually purchase his own practice, and maintain that role until retirement. However, joining DSI in 2020 transformed his perspective, as Mark Costes' vision revealed the vast possibilities within the profession. Being part of this community has empowered him to fully embrace life and explore the extensive potential that dentistry holds. Grateful to be surrounded by a dedicated group of individuals who are committed to self-improvement and pushing professional boundaries, Umang feels privileged to grow alongside them and honored to be part of this journey.

I've been married to my amazing wife for 21 years, and her support and insight have been invaluable, grounding me and teaching me patience as I pursue my many ambitious ideas. Together, we've raised a son and a daughter who bring constant laughter and a refreshing perspective into our lives. They keep me true to my values and aren't shy about calling me out if I stray from what I teach them—a grounding reminder of the importance of integrity. As a family, we're driven by an insatiable curiosity and a shared sense of adventure that has taken us around the globe. Over the past five years, we've embarked on 33 international trips, each journey enriching our lives with new experiences, cultures, and memories. Our adventures have deepened our connection to each other and the world, fueling a collective passion for discovery that we cherish deeply."
